Friends Events:

Board Meetings- 10 AM, the first Thursday of each month at the library.

January 3, 2008- 10am - Meeting

February 7, 2008 - 10am - Meeting followed by Janet Eldred, Library Director, with a Powerpoint presentation about the library and the many services that are provided and available to everyone.

March 6, 2008 - 10am - Meeting - 11:30am - Erin Murphy, poet and professor at Penn State Altoona, will present a reading from her new book, "Dislocation and Other Theories."  Erin will have her book available for purchase at a discount with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the library.  A box lunch, generously provided by Barbara Latchford, will be available for $3.00, courtesy sign-up at the library.

April 3, 2008- 10am - Meeting - 11:30am - Marie Felz, owner/regional director of Interiors by Decorating Den will be our guest with her expertise and suggestions for home decorating ideas.  Again, a box lunch for $3.00 will be available, sign-up at the library.

April 16 thru 19, 2008- Spring Used Book Sale - Set up the 16th, sale 17th, 18th and 19th.  Volunteers are always needed; contact Barbara Baughman at 695-4964 to help.

May 1, 2008- 12 noon - Meeting - 1pm - Spring Tea - Guest presentation by Tera Herman,  "Beads for Life", who will have just returned from Africa to relate her involvement and experiences in this volunteer organization helping women to help themselves.

May- Yard Sale (date and location to be announced at a later date.)

June 5, 2008- 11:30am - President's Luncheon (location to be announced later.)
